With 2020 filled with changes and new ways of working, Tri-State Seed Company has had our own internal changes we would like to formally announce. For the last 15 years Tri-State Seed has grown from an idea formulated in Craig Teel’s kitchen between him and Dana Herron to a fullservice warehouse and bulk seed distribution facility in Connell, Washington. With decades of seed experience at our foundation, Craig, Dana, and Tri-Cities Grain were able to create a seed company that could provide that small-town customer service feel while supporting seed needs throughout the Pacific Northwest. In June of 2020 Dana was able to hang his hat on 15 years of success with the company and fully retire. Craig has also moved into retirement at the end of 2020 and will serve as a business consultant while he plans his future farming and hunting adventures. In this transition Tri-Cities Grain LLC, will move to full ownership of Tri-State Seed.
Although change can be intimidating Tri-State Seed is very excited to announce some new faces that will be able to pick up from where Craig and Dana left off. Mason Douglass joined the company in July as the new General Manager. With Mason came 11 years of experience between Syngenta Seeds and Corteva Agriscience where he served as the Field Production Manager and Territory Manager. In October Tri-State Seed also brought on John Mancini as the new Sales Manager. John has spent the last 5 years with Syngenta as a Vegetable Seed Processing Engineer. Despite being new, John and Mason have been able to hit the ground running working with Tri-Cities Grain. We recently partnered with LG Seeds to expand our seed portfolio to corn and are making improvements and upgrades to our seed treatment products this winter to improve efficacy and reduce dust off.
